What is Audit?
Audit (/audit) is the receipt. Hero: The books, balanced. It is not a Profile tab.
Sections: AI ($) · User Canister · Backend (admin) · Agents. Faces: Dashboard · Ledger. Period: 1H · 24H · 7D · 30D · All · Custom.
What it is not
It does not add fuel or upgrade a plan. Not Gas Station. Not Pricing. Not Finance. Not Profile → Usage (that ledger is a different slice).
Audit (/audit) is this account's spend ledger — cycles, AI spend, and credits by period. It is not Finance (staff console) and not Gas Station (the hosting pump).
Per-period ledger — What ran and what left the balance
Owner view — Your account, not the platform operator console
Per-period resource audit: cycles, AI spend, credits. Use it when a run's cost should match what left the balance.
User journeys
AU-01. Open Audit
Path: Module switcher → Audit · /audit
You do:
- Sign in with the Kontext chooser.
- Open Audit from the module switcher.
- Pick a period and read cycles, AI spend, and credits.
Result: You see this account's spend ledger, not the staff Finance console.
AU-02. Tell Audit from Finance and Gas Station
Path: /audit vs /finance vs /gas-station
You do:
- Open Audit when you want to check whether a run's cost matches what left your balance.
- Open Gas Station when a canister needs fuel (cycles / hosting pump).
- Open Finance only if you are platform staff — it is the operator console, not your owner ledger.
- If a balance warning names AI credits vs hosting credits, treat those as separate buckets (see Account & settings).
Result: You pick the right money screen. Audit explains what ran; Gas Station fuels hosting; Finance is for operators.
AU-03. Read Audit by surface
Path: /audit · AI / User canister / Backend / Agents · Dashboard or Ledger
You do:
- Open Audit.
- Pick a period.
- Switch the surface: AI spend, User canister cycles, Backend, or Agents.
- Use Dashboard for the glance and Ledger for the line items.
- Read coverage notes — a thin period is a thin period, not a zero bill.
Result: You see what ran on which surface. This is still not Finance and not Gas Station.
How it works
Route /audit. Resource and spend accounting: cycles, AI dollars, credits, per period. This is the owner's ledger of what ran — not Finance (staff console) and not Gas Station (the pump).
Benefits
- See whether deduction matches burn.
- Inspect spend by period without opening admin Finance.
Who it's for
Primary: owners watching credit and cycle spend. Not: platform finance operators (use Finance Management).
