Capabilities

Marketing (/marketing) is your marketing department: 14 roles (a Director, SEO & Landing, Ads, Content, Researcher and more) that run on your own agent runtime and work toward your marketing goals. Sections: Today, Team, Leads, Channels, Toolkit, Connections. Ad networks (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit) and site measurement (Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush) connect through your own accounts. Kontext reads the numbers; the team only does the work.

User journeys

MKG-01. Open Marketing

Path: Module switcher → Marketing · /marketing · AIOS → Employees → Marketing shows the same team board

You do:

  1. Open the module switcher and choose Marketing, or go to /marketing.
  2. Pick a section from the rail on the left: Today, Team, Leads, Channels, Toolkit or Connections (platform admins also see Owner desk). Open Business → jumps to the Business module.
  3. A section has its own address (/marketing/team, /marketing/connections…), so it can be bookmarked or linked.

Result: You are in the Marketing room. Anything it could not read says so in its own panel; it never shows as zero.

MKG-02. Read today's numbers

Path: Marketing → Today

You do:

  1. The headline says what everything you sell (or one solution) brought in for the period (7D, 30D, 90D).
  2. Read the five numbers: New leads, Customers won (paid invoices), Revenue (paid in the period), Lead → customer, and Ad spend (with By month →; a network Kontext cannot read is recorded by hand in Connections). Each is compared with the same number of days before.
  3. Read Revenue and new leads (running revenue and new leads per day), Where leads came from, Newest leads (All leads →), Your marketing team (with the Director's questions to Answer) and Goals.

Result: You see what marketing brought in, from your own contacts and payments, beside what was spent.

MKG-03. Switch solution and period

Path: Marketing → Today → the solution switcher and the Period choice

You do:

  1. Choose one solution (a Business project) or all of them.
  2. Choose 7, 30 or 90 days.

Result: Every number, chart and list follows the solution and period you chose.

MKG-04. Set a marketing goal

Path: Marketing → Today → Goals

You do:

  1. Choose what to measure: new leads, customers, revenue or Google search clicks.
  2. Choose the solution, enter the Target and a Due date.
  3. Save. The goal shows progress and whether you are on pace.

Result: The goal is one of your AIOS goals. Your marketing team reads its progress before every run and works toward it.

MKG-05. Set a search-clicks goal

Path: Marketing → Today → Goals → measure Google search clicks

You do:

  1. Connect Google Search Console first (MKG-19).
  2. Choose search clicks, then pick the Search Console site the goal counts.
  3. Enter the target and due date, and save.

Result: Clicks are counted from Google's own numbers since the day the goal was set (Google is about two days behind). An unreadable count says "Not readable", never 0.

MKG-06. Find and open a lead

Path: Marketing → Leads

You do:

  1. Search leads by name or email, or filter by Source and Stage.
  2. Open a lead to see where they came from (campaign, form, ad click), their stage and their invoices.

Result: You see each person marketing brought in and what they have paid.

MKG-07. Start your marketing department

Path: Marketing → Team → Start my marketing department

You do:

  1. Fill in the brief: What you market (required), where your customers use it, and your links.
  2. Check the email: the Monday report and the questions your team needs you for go there (your profile's email is filled in). To change it later, press Update brief on Team, change Your email and press Save for all 14: the Monday report and every teammate's delivery address move to the new email.
  3. Read Pace and cost: how often the team checks for work, and today's wallet balance. Set a monthly ad spending cap if you want the ad roles on.
  4. Press Start my marketing department.

Result: Fourteen roles are hired as teammates on your own agent runtime, in three groups (Plan, Make, Reach), each with what it does, when it works and what it last said. A role with no work to do that day ends without running a model or charging you.

MKG-08. Answer what the team needs from you

Path: Marketing → Team → Your Marketing Director asks and Needs your yes · the bell

You do:

  1. Answer the Director's questions. An unanswered question also reaches the bell and your phone, at most once every three days.
  2. Under Needs your yes, approve or decline what the team held for you (posts, sends, page changes).

Result: Nothing the team writes in your name goes out without your yes, unless you let the team run on its own (MKG-10).

MKG-09. Run a role now, or pause it

Path: Marketing → Team → a role → Run now · Pause / Resume

You do:

  1. Press Run now on a role to have it work immediately.
  2. Press Pause to stop a role's schedule; Resume to start it again.
  3. A role marked Stopped after errors shows Resume and run now: it puts the role back on its schedule and runs it once.
  4. Each card shows the role's newest report, whether its schedule ran it or you pressed Run now. The Growth Analyst's report reads your ad accounts, Google Analytics, Search Console, YouTube, X and Instagram.
  5. The board groups the team into Plan, Make and Reach, each in its own colour. A card's left edge shows its state: green on duty, blue quiet, grey paused, amber needs attention.
  6. If part of the team has no schedule (a card reads Not set up yet), press Finish setting up above the board. It keeps everything that exists and makes only what is missing, such as the content day.

Result: The role works now, or stops until you resume it. A role marked "Off — needs a spending cap" starts once a cap is set.

MKG-10. Run the content day

Path: Marketing → Team → The content day → Run content day

You do:

  1. Press Run content day.
  2. The Director plans, the Writer writes, the Guardian checks, Media makes the pictures, the Guardian checks again, and the Publisher prepares the posts.
  3. Approve the pictures and posts under Needs your yes. Media's picture for each draft waits there too, and is made when you say yes.
  4. If the Team screen says the content day needs an update, press Give them their tools first: it brings the day's steps up to date.
  5. The panel shows the newest run, whether its schedule started it or you pressed Run content day. Open Every step to read what each member handed on.
  6. To run the team without approving each card, press Let the team run on its own on Team. Posts, emails and pictures then go ahead; a reply to someone else's comment still waits, and Paid Ads still needs its cap. Ask me first again puts the approvals back.
  7. Pictures are made in your brand: the Media Producer's images follow Brand → Art direction (the look, what your pictures are, signature details, the never list) and your colours. Fill those in, plus the brand's name and logo, for pictures that look like yours.

Result: Posts go out only after your yes. An approved Journal story is saved as a draft.

MKG-11. See every channel a solution reaches people on

Path: Marketing → Channels

You do:

  1. See each solution's journals, launches, marketplace listings, communities and courses, with the numbers each really has.
  2. Press Share on any of them to post it.
  3. Use Tell your story on your journal to write a customer story.

Result: Every place a solution reaches people on Kontext, in one view.

MKG-12. Connect an ad network

Path: Marketing → Connections → Networks

You do:

  1. The first time, pick the networks you use; Add another network shows the rest.
  2. Press Connect on a network and sign in to its ad account. Google Ads, TikTok Ads and Reddit Ads connect directly. Meta and LinkedIn connect once Kontext's app with that network is set up (MKG-24). Kontext does not connect Pinterest, Snapchat, Microsoft (Bing) or Amazon ad accounts; record what they cost by hand.
  3. Press Check again after finishing a sign-in in another tab.
  4. Instagram: your own Instagram sign-in publishes posts; Add Instagram on the Facebook & Instagram card adds it to your Page connection so its messages and comments reach your inbox. The card says when you have the first and not the second.

Result: The ad account shows as connected, and its spend is read from the network and counted in Today.

MKG-13. Read an ad account's spend, campaigns and results

Path: Marketing → Connections → a connected network → its ad account panel

You do:

  1. Read this month's and last month's spend, impressions, clicks and results, as the network reports them. The month is recorded in your spend ledger automatically.
  2. Choose Work in when the network has several ad accounts.
  3. Open Campaigns for each campaign's status and daily budget.
  4. Open Results by campaign (last 7, 30 or 90 days): spend and clicks from the network beside leads, customers and revenue from your own contacts and payments, with what to do about each campaign.

Result: You see which campaigns bring paying customers, not only clicks. Leads are matched to a campaign by the campaign name in their link; a lead with none is counted under "no campaign named".

MKG-14. Pause, resume or re-budget a campaign

Path: Ad account panel → Campaigns → Pause · Resume · Budget

You do:

  1. Press Pause to stop a campaign. Pausing and lowering a budget never ask; they can only spend less.
  2. Press Resume or raise a Budget: Kontext asks first and names the amount.

Result: The change is made on the network and read back, so the panel shows what the network now holds.

MKG-15. Set automatic ad rules

Path: Ad account panel → Automatic rules

You do:

  1. Add a ready-made rule with one press (for example, pause a campaign that spends $100 in a week with nothing to show), or Make your own rule: what it watches, the minimum spend before judging, over how many days, which campaigns, and whether it pauses and tells you or only tells you.
  2. Kontext checks the rules every hour with the network's own figures.

Result: A rule can pause a campaign or tell you; it never turns one on or raises a budget. Each campaign is acted on at most once a day, and every action is listed in the rule history and the bell.

MKG-16. Put your pixel or conversion tag on a Kontext app

Path: Ad account panel → Tracking & leads sent back → Put it on this app

You do:

  1. Open Tracking. Your pixels (Meta, TikTok, Reddit) or conversion actions (Google) are listed with their code.
  2. Choose one of your Kontext apps and the tag, and press Put it on this app.
  3. To take it off, press Remove beside it.

Result: The tag is saved into the app and put on its live page at once, without a redeploy and without touching the app's data. Every later deploy keeps it. For a site built elsewhere, press Copy the code and paste it into the page's <head>.

MKG-17. Send leads and payments back to an ad network

Path: Ad account panel → Tracking → Send leads to … · Send purchases to … (Meta and Google)

You do:

  1. On Google with no action that can count them (a new account often has only YouTube ones), press Make them in Google and confirm: Kontext makes "Kontext lead" and "Kontext sale" in your account. Nothing is spent.
  2. Read how many leads and payments the network has not been sent yet, and how many are too old or cannot be matched.
  3. Choose the pixel or conversion action they count under. A YouTube or app action is never offered: it only counts what happens on YouTube or in an app.
  4. Press Send leads or Send purchases, and confirm.

Result: The network receives each person's email (hashed) and, for a payment, the amount, so it can measure and find more people like your customers. Each contact is marked as sent, so nobody is sent twice.

MKG-18. Send new leads and payments automatically

Path: Ad account panel → Tracking → Send new leads and payments to … automatically, every hour (Meta and Google)

You do:

  1. Choose the pixel or conversion action for leads and for purchases.
  2. Tick the switch and confirm.
  3. Read the line under it: the last run, what it sent, and the totals so far.

Result: Every hour Kontext sends only the leads and payments that arrived after you turned it on, with the same "already sent" mark the buttons use. A failure reaches the bell at most once a day.

MKG-19. Connect Search Console and Google Analytics

Path: Marketing → Connections → Your site's numbers

You do:

  1. Press Connect on Google Search Console and sign in with the Google account that owns your site there.
  2. Press Connect on Google Analytics the same way.
  3. Pick the site or property to read.

Result: You see what people searched to find you and how often they clicked, and visitors, sessions and key events, beside your spend. SEO & Landing reads the same Search Console data every day.

MKG-20. Connect Semrush for keyword ideas

Path: Marketing → Connections → Your site's numbers → Semrush

You do:

  1. In Semrush, copy your API key (Subscription info → API units). Semrush sells API access with its Business plan.
  2. Paste it into Semrush API key and press Connect.

Result: While your site is new to search (under 200 impressions in 28 days, or Search Console not connected), SEO & Landing reads keyword ideas and what the site already ranks for from Semrush, once a week. It uses your own Semrush API units.

MKG-21. What SEO & Landing does with your search data

Path: Marketing → Team → SEO & Landing

You do:

  1. Connect Search Console (MKG-19) and make sure your brief names your website.
  2. Let SEO & Landing run, or press Run now.
  3. Read its note: the queries close to page one, pages people see but rarely click, pages losing clicks, sitemap problems and pages Google has not indexed.
  4. Each week it picks one target (a query, a page and the change) and reports the following weeks whether it moved.

Result: One measured search target a week. For a new site with little search data, it works from keyword ideas from Google Ads Keyword Planner (if Google Ads is connected) and Semrush (MKG-20). A source that is not connected is named, never shown as "no ideas".

MKG-22. Approve a page change SEO & Landing proposes

Path: Marketing → Team → Needs your yes · AIOS approval cards

You do:

  1. Read the card: the page, the exact text before and after.
  2. For a page Kontext hosts, approve it and the change is made in the app; it goes live on the app's next deploy.
  3. For a site built elsewhere, the card carries the exact change to copy over.

Result: Page changes are made only with your yes, as a narrow edit to that page.

MKG-23. Make an ad and launch it on a network

Path: Marketing → Toolkit → Magic Ads → Export → Make it on the network (Launchpad's Marketing Hub has its own Magic Ads too, with its own drafts)

You do:

  1. Write the campaign in Magic Ads (platforms, copy, media, budget).
  2. Under Export, choose the network (Meta, Google Search or TikTok), the ad account, countries and daily budget.
  3. Missing pictures or video can be made in Kontext Media from the campaign's own words.
  4. Press Make it on ….

Result: The campaign, ad set and ad are made on the network, all paused, so nothing spends until you turn them on there. The click link carries the campaign name, so results join back in MKG-13. Drafts made in Marketing are read by the team's Paid Ads role.

MKG-24. Set up Kontext's apps with the networks (platform admin)

Path: Marketing → Owner desk (shown only to platform admins) · the same items also sit on Media → Owner desk and Business → Owner desk

You do:

  1. Open Marketing → Owner desk. Items still to do are at the top of each group: Network apps (Meta Ads, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn Ads), Lead forms and posting on the server (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, X, TikTok), and Ad accounts verified.
  2. Press How to do it on an item. A step-by-step guide opens with one step per slide: press Next (or the right arrow key, or swipe), tick "I've done this step" as you go, and press Copy on any name, URL or email to paste it into the network's page.
  3. At the end of a network app's guide, paste the keys the network gives you into the boxes under it and press Save. A server sign-in's guide ends with the exact .env lines and the deploy command; an ad-account verification is marked done with Mark done.

Result: Every member can then connect their own account on that network. Server sign-in cards turn Done by themselves once the server reports them installed. Google Ads, Search Console, Google Analytics, TikTok Ads and Reddit Ads need no app from you.

MKG-25. Tell the Toolkit what you sell

Path: Marketing → Toolkit → What the tools write about → Edit

You do:

  1. Pick what you are marketing at the top of Marketing (Everything you sell, or one solution). Each has its own Toolkit work.
  2. Fill in what you sell, what it does in a sentence, who buys it, and (optional) the problem it solves and your offer. A solution's own name and description are filled in for you.
  3. Press Save.

Result: Every tool in the Toolkit starts from these words. They are saved on your workspace with the rest of the Toolkit's work, never in this browser alone.

MKG-26. Find where your buyers gather (Tribe Finder)

Path: Marketing → Toolkit → Tribe Finder

You do:

  1. Check the product, who it is for and a few keywords, then press Find my tribe.
  2. Read the places it opened (each with what the page says, why it fits and any self-promotion rule), and press ☆ on the ones to keep.
  3. Set Where should people land? so each post gets its own short tracked link.

Result: The places are saved with what you sell. Your team's Market Researcher and Community roles read the places you kept before every run, so they build on them instead of searching again.

MKG-27. Sketch the buyer you write to (Customer avatar)

Path: Marketing → Toolkit → Customer avatar

You do:

  1. Answer who they are, what you promise them, how soon they want it and what stops them.
  2. Press Write the sketch.

Result: A sketch of a type of buyer (never an invented person), with real sentences from the communities Tribe Finder opened. The team's writers, Guardian, Paid Ads and SEO & Landing write to it, and on Team you can fill the brief from it.

MKG-28. Plan a month of posts the team publishes (30-Day Calendar)

Path: Marketing → Toolkit → 30-Day Calendar

You do:

  1. Pick the accounts you post on, then press Plan my 30 days.
  2. On a day, press Write 3 variants and pick the one you like (or write your own).

Result: Day 1 is the day the plan was written. Each day, the team's Writer and Publisher are handed that day's post (platform, topic, hook and your chosen text) as today's work; a day already scheduled is never posted twice.

MKG-29. Write landing copy and make content

Path: Marketing → Toolkit → Landing copy · Content Creator

You do:

  1. In Landing copy, check the brief and press Write page copy; keep the version you like.
  2. In Content Creator, make images or video for your posts and ads; they land in your Media library.

Result: Copy carries no invented proof: what you can add once it is real is listed under it. Your team's SEO & Landing role reads the copy you saved.

How it works

Route /marketing (sections Today, Team, Leads, Channels, Toolkit, Connections, and Owner desk for platform admins at /marketing/desk). Your marketing department is 14 roles on your own agent runtime: a Director, SEO & Landing, Ads, Content, a Researcher and the rest. Kontext decides whether there is work and what each role sees (goals, numbers, the team's own notes in your vault); a model only does the work. Ad networks (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit) and site measurement (Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush) connect through your own accounts, and nothing is read until you connect. Kontext puts your pixel or conversion tag on a Kontext app in one press, sends leads and payments back to Meta and Google (by hand, or every hour once you turn it on), pre-renders each Kontext app's home page so search engines can read it, and reads keyword ideas from Google Ads Keyword Planner and Semrush while a new site has little search data. The Toolkit is Marketing's own set of tools — Tribe Finder, Customer avatar, 30-Day Calendar, Magic Ads, Landing copy and Content Creator — saved on your workspace per thing you sell; before every run the team is shown what you made there (the places you kept, the buyer, today's planned post, your ad drafts, your saved landing copy). Launchpad keeps its own Marketing Hub for anyone launching an idea, on any plan; the two never share work.

Benefits

Who it's for

Primary: owners with a solution or app to sell who want people to find it. Also: owners running paid ads who want spend, results and rules in one place. Not: an ad agency that spends without you — every network is your own account, and the team proposes before it changes a page.
