KTX Connector

/ktx-connector · version 3.13 · 2026-10-06

Capabilities

KTX Connector (/ktx-connector) is the small helper on this computer. The headline is Watch live. Drive from anywhere. When sharing is on, Kontext can see the real screen, click and type from another network, peek folders, and run named automations. You do not need KTX Code for this. Sharing stays off until you turn it on (menu bar on a Mac, system tray on Windows). The laptop has to stay awake with the helper open — this is not a remote desktop while the machine sleeps. First installers are unsigned, the same as KTX Code. The download is included with Pro and above. The phone app (iPhone and iPad) shows that computer live after you sign in with Apple, Google, Microsoft, or a passkey on the same account. The computer only appears while it is sharing.

What is KTX Connector?

KTX Connector is a small helper on this computer. When sharing is on, Kontext can see the screen (Watch), drive the mouse and keyboard (Drive), and use files here. Sharing off means Kontext cannot see the screen, even if the helper is running. A live job is not the same as a picture in this ask.

Sharing on vs off

Watch is a live picture. Drive is mouse and keyboard. Sharing off means Talk cannot see the screen even if the helper is running. A still in chat is not Watch.

What it is not

It is not KTX Code (the coding app). It is not Chrome screen share. It is not AME or Google Drive memory. If you want to write code on disk, open KTX Code. If you want Kontext to click a window, use Connector with sharing on.

KTX Connector (/ktx-connector) is the small helper so Kontext can Watch, Drive, and use files on this computer. It is not the coding app (KTX Code). Sharing must be on.

KTX Connector is the only machine helper. Watch (live picture of the desktop), Drive (mouse/keyboard from the website), and file/Drive access when sharing is on. KTX Code is a separate product for local coding agents. Either can share the machine; name whichever is actually online.

Path: Kontext OS / Talk · KTX Connector sharing on

You do:

  1. Confirm the Connector helper is running and sharing is on (KC-01).

How it works

Route /ktx-connector. KTX Connector is a small helper so Kontext can use this computer (Watch, Drive, files). It is not KTX Code (the coding app). Connect at /ktx-connector/connect.
